TURUTA : Typical instrument of Cádiz Carnival (SPAIN)

Hi everyone!

This is Ana Sánchez! Here are a few videos to explain a little more about our Spanish culture. In this case, we show you a musical instrument of the Carnival of Cadiz, one of the most popular and important in Spain. This instrument is called Turuta or Carnival whistle (Pito de Carnaval). We made the first two videos of the links below about how you can make a turuta children´s version. Actually, the original instrument is much smaller, is made of plastic or wood and it would be very complicated to make for children. Anyway, here are other videos to hear the original instrument and learn more about our carnival if you are interested. Don´t hesitate to contact me if you have any question at  anasanc@hotmail.com.
